Workshop On Government Job Opportunities Through Public Service Commission And The Ways To Get It.

On 13th December 2020, Sunday, from 3 pm to 5.30 pm IST, Mr.Natarajan, Retired Joint Director of Employment and Training, Chennai, delivered the workshop through Zoom videoconferencing facility. He shared key information on the recruitment process by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, Banking Services Recruitment Board, Railway, Airforce, Military, Navy, Postal Services and the ways to prepare for the competitive examinations to gain employment to suit individual knowledge, skill and experience.

Participants from Irumaram attended the session at Community Service Centre in Irumaram, and at the same time participants from Adavapakkam and members of Child Haven International of Kaliyampoondi joined from various locations through Zoom. Overall 60 participants benefitted from this workshop.

Founder Dr.Viswanathan and Mr.Elangovan joined from the UK. Mr.Vairavel, Secretary, TNVT, thanked Mr.Natarajan for the excellent presentation and all the participants.

Village Community Development Day

Community Youth Forum meeting

Tamil Nadu Village Trust celebrated Village Community Development Day on 22nd October 2020, Thursday.

Mr.Ezhilan of Tamizhagam and Mr.Sakthi, a motivational speaker, from Kanchipuram chief guests for the function. Mr. Ezhilan addressed the the importance of organic farming and Mr.Sakthi spoke on the opportunities for youngsters. Prizes distributed to all winners of various sports and athletics. Cultural events took place. Mr.Vairam, Secretary of TNVT thanked everyone for their time and participation.

Dr.Viswanathan, Founder, Dr.Viswanathan, spoke on the responsibility of the villagers in developing their community. Followed by Mr.Elangovan outlined the importance of youths role in building the society.

Independence Day Celebration 2020

TNVT Secretary on Independence Day Celebration

Tamil Nadu Village Trust celebrated 74th Indian Independence Day at Community Service Centre in Irumaram.

Mr.Vairavel, Secretary of TNVT and the volunteers from Irumaram village safely organised this event on 15th August 2020 by distributing face masks, pencils, pens and sweets to children and adults who participated in the event.

Reiterated the importance of wearing face mask in the public to avoid spreading current COVID-19 pandemic.

How to stop spreading coronavirus?

You can stop the spread of coronavirus by,

  • Washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces
  • Covering your sneeze and cough with a tissue, and then throw the tissue in the trash
    and wash your hands
  • Wearing a face mask covering over nose and mouth
  • Not touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Keeping 2 arms length from other person


Importance of handwash during COVID-19 pandemic

Tributes to Mr Kandaswamy Trustee and Secretary of TNVT demised

Board of Trustees of Tamil Nadu Village Trust, friends and well wishers within India and overseas, along with the large number of villagers in and around Irumaram and Advapakkam are joining to express their condolences on the demise of Mr.Kandaswamy, Trustee & Secretary of the Trust.

Mr.Kandaswamy, was involved in the Trust activities from the beginning in one form or other, for example, in the construction of Community Service Centre in Irumaram during 1992; and later he held custodial responsibility as Secretary till his last breath. Let his soul rest in peace.
